How to Turn Off AutoAnswer
Hi Experts
I am using my modem for voice calls only.
However, when someone calls it the modem autoanswer kicks in. How do I turn off the autoanswer feature?

You can add this to modem command line:
AT S0=0

Go to Settings > Dialup Networking. Right click on your ISP connection and select Properites. Select the Scripting tab and type in the command.

Sorry - I dont think I can do this.
I dont use the modem to connect to an ISP. I only use the voice part to make telephone calls. I dont have a dialup connection, as I have cable service.

Then go to Control Panel > Modem > Properties > Connection tab > Advanced, and then post the script.

To turn off auto answer, with Internet Explorer open, go to Tools > Internet Options > Connections. Select "Never dial a connection". Click OK.
