I have two servers, first one is SBS 2003, second one is 2003 Standard Edition Svc Pack 1.<br />

The SBS is the Primary DC, I will be taking it out of the network, reformatting it and doing a clean install of 2003 Standard on it. &nbsp;<br />
<br />
What I need to know is how to switch the roles from the SBS being the primary DC to the 2003 Standard being the primary DC so that when the SBS comes off line it will be relatively seamless to the end users.<br />

I'm assuming that since SBS doesn't play nice with others, that this cannot be done until the SBS is offline?<br />
<br />
I have active directory and DNS installed on the 2003 Standard already and it serves as a back up DC.

Windows Server 2003 was based on Windows XP and was released in four editions: Web, Standard, Enterprise and Datacenter. It also had derivative versions for clusters, storage and Microsoft’s Small Business Server.
