ActiveSync 4.1 with Windows Mobile 5 Error Code 85010014
I have Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2 with Outook 2003 Professional Edition with Service Pack 2.
I have installed Active Sync 4.0 and made a partnership with my new Windows Mobile 5 device, then it stopped working with the above error code.
I have upgraded to Activesync 4.1, still doesn't work.
I have tried repairing Office still doesn't work.
I have tried removing firewall and Anti-Virus and removing any outlook script protection in my AV, still doesn't work.
I have also done a hard reset on my phone, still doesn't work.
My old Windows phone running the previos OS synchronises perfectly without a hitch.
Has anyone got any ideas other than uninstall Office 2003 and Activesync and reinstall?
This is such a popular problem, Microsoft have really messed up with this!

ActiveSync reports a Synchronization Error code 85010014 because of one of the following reasons:
Synchronization Fails because Application Data Folder is Redirected
OR
Outlook is in Offline Mode (even though microsoft recommends that you have Outlook in the Online mode when synchronizing with your device.
OR
because of Outlook script blocking
(ensure that script blocking for Outlook is not enabled )
OR
because ActiveSync is incorrectly registered with Outlook
(reinstall Activesync)
Goodluck

Ok,
My PC is a home PC so Application Data is not redirected
Outlook is online
I have disabled Outlook Script Blocking in McAfee VirusScan
I have reinstalled ActiveSync
I have deleted and created a new partnership.
Favourites synchronise but outlook fails with Synchronization Error code 85010014.
I haven't downloaded anything weird I only use McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.0i with AntiSpyware Module for securitry software, I use standard Windows Firewall.

Without the device connected, open ActiveSync, choose the device name fro the File, Mobile Device menu. Then choose Delete Partnership from the File Menu.
Finally, reconnect the device and create a new partnership. You should be able to do this without loosing any data but you may have to merge any changes on your desktop with your pda.
