Auto loading webpages with AD
Hi,
Hopefully a simple question. Is there a way to automatically load a website when a user logs on using active directory?
I would like the company intranet to automatically load when a user logs in and I thought that using a GPO setting would be the easiest. Problem is that I cannot find a suitable policy.
Running SBS 2003 with latest service pack and patches.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Dan

You should not need to edit the group policies directly. If you have added PCs and Users using the wizards in the server management console the companyweb page should load automatically for users.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I am trying to find a way through group policy to automatically load the intranet on login. I have already set internet explorer to open with companyweb. Problem is that some users change the default homepage. I do not have a problem with the default page being changed if the user wishes.
I would like that the internet explorer automatically loads with the company web on login. I can manually go around and add this to startup but would like a GP to do this.
Cheers,
Dan

Thanks Saineolai for the help. That was exactly what I was after. Handy thing is that URLs can be entered as startup programs.
