Software to easily make edits.

I am looking for a tool that would enable a non-techie to easily update the site - simple stuff like texts and pictures.

I am aware of Contribute.

Do you guys know of anything else? Price?

Thanks

Danish

You could try Macromedia Dreamweaver 8. It has a 30-day free trial period, so there's no expense if you decide that it's not for you. You can get it from http://www.adobe.com/products/dreamweaver/?promoid=BINR

For DW you do need to have some know how of HTML. I use it all the time and I can see a non-techie having trouble with it.

thanks though

Hi,

Nothing is easer than Netscape Composer.
It is part of Netscape 4.8 browser.

As Composer has few features, then there are not so much variants to look for.

You just press a button and have a blank page to write on.
Then you type in and the text appears already formatted.
You press the Image button, and inserts an image.
Even a table is ease to assembly, just inform how many rows and collumns and put text or image inside desired cells.

Should use the 4.8 version, downloaded for free from
http://www.netscape.com.

Don't use the browser as it is not prepared for security, plugins, styles, so on.

There were valid suggestions made by JoseParrot, John-Bayles and myself, however it seems that ssdanish did not wish to accept the suggestion of Macromedia Dreamweaver (as suggested by myself and as an alternative suggestion by John-Bayles). Whether points get handed out to everyone or based on the responses, I don't know...
