Compiling and previewing powerpoint files

Hi there,

I'm producing a simple director app that creates a series of previews of powerpoint files and allows the user to compile a unique powerpoint file of their selected slides.

I'm assuming I will need some sort of extra for doing this, anyone done anything similar or can point me in the right direction?

I need a visual preview of the original PPT files and then a way of appending the correct slides and then saving the new presentation.

Thanks in advance

Active Companion will do this (www.xtramania.com)  I do need to disclose that we sell this for them, but it handles OLE, VB, etc allowing full editing, saving, and viewing.

Thanks MediaMacros.

I'm looking into it now. It looks pretty complex, pressumably there is no WYSIWYG extra available.

You can see it real time via the Xtra.  Check the site for a PPT example that displays the file.
