Prevent email download after Exchange Migration
I have migrated an Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2003 and now the client that connect with Outlook are re-downloading all the email from the new server. How can I prevent this?
re-downloading via POP3?
How are the clients connecting to Exchange?
POP3, IMAP, MAPI? Something else?
Simon.

I have a folder named Web and when I issue this IMAP command the result is:
select web
* 13 EXISTS
* 13 RECENT
* FLAGS (\Seen \Answered \Flagged \Deleted \Draft $MDNSent)
* OK [PERMANENTFLAGS (\Seen \Answered \Flagged \Deleted \Draft $MDNSent)] Permanent flags
* OK [UIDVALIDITY 621] UIDVALIDITY value
OK [READ-WRITE] SELECT completed.
As you can see all folder emailshave been marked as RECENT after the migration. How can I change the status of the emails?

Solved it.
Issueing an IMAP SELECT command on the FOLDER clears the \Recent flag.
