Hi LFC1980,

It sounds like your view has been changed.

Try View|Arrange By|From from the menu.

Regards,

Richard Quadling.

Do you have a name column?

If you open an email does it have a name?

not sure.

What i normally have in my inbox (not the actual mail, or the preview mode) is the name of the person who sent the email and under that it is the subject

If you look in a different folder, do you get the name shown?

Assuming you don't keep ALL your email in 1 folder called Inbox.

Take a look in the Sent Items folder.

Is the name present now?

Ok sorted it

Went to

View->Arrange by-Current view--Customize current view. And selected "Frequenlty used fields" in the drop down list. And from the list on the left added "From", and then had to move it up to 3rd from top on the list in the right hand side.

Pressed Ok to save the changes and it's back

thanks for your help (maybe i wasn't clear enough on what i was asking)

Thanks again.

Ah. You wanted to ADD From to the list. I assumed you had From and now it was gone. You shouldn't need to customize the view. Just choose one of the standard ones.
