DHTML: Tooltip onmouseover

I would like to be able to show a tooltip onmouseover a link. The tooltip would of course be different depending on what link I'm hovering over.

Hi peternordberg,

Set the title attribute of your link and it will do it automatically:

<a href="http://mydomain.com" title="Click here to go to my site">Click Here</a>

For example.

Hi peternordberg,

I need the same thing a while back. Found OverLib, which you can use for free and takes minutes to set up...

Have fun.

Yes, that's true that's the way you put a native "tooltip" of HTML.

I guess that you want a different type of tooltip, like: http://www.walterzorn.com/tooltip/tooltip_e.htm. you have there the example and also the JavaScript that does the trick. ;)

Hi peternordberg ,

Have look at these links they contain more examples of the same.

How about a pure CSS tooltip...no javascript needed!
