A user in our company is receiving old e-mails from last year. In then morning when he boots up and fires up Outlook he will have a few e-mails from last year that show up in his inbox that he has deleted a long time ago. Any ideas why this is happening?

Thanks in advance

Greetings, mschmidt14 !

1. Check if the old emails are on the server.  Delete them from the server.

2. The index on the Inbox may be wrong.  You need to create a new PST file and drag all the emails and Contacts folder to the new PST.

PST file is located in C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook folder. It is a hidden file. Go to any folder and select Tools > Folders Options > View. Check "Show hidden files and folders". Click OK.

Best wishes!
