Convert BusinessObjects .csp to .asp

Whats csp file ?

a csp is basically an asp file anyways, but it gets processed by the cystal reports objects instead of the vbscript objects.  just change the extention to asp.  why are you changing it?

Really ? I thought Crystal Reports is RPT extension

the report is, yes.  when you have the enterprise server to have the reports hosted on the web, they have a csp page that does processing before the report.

We tried changing the extension to .asp, but we are getting an error that it doesn't recognize the Option Explicit. Any thoughts?

again i will ask, why are you changing it?  what is your goal?

option explicit is a perfectly valid command in asp pages, but its picky about where it is located.  please share your code up to that line and a few lines after.

I would share the code if I could. I am the new BusinessObjects Enterprise Administrator and I am still learning and don't have a real understanding of why the other department wants to change it. The department that wants to change the .csp to .asp is asking me for help to do so. I am currently still getting set up with the things I need to do my job, but as it is right now, I do not have access to the code itself. Thanks for your help. When I do get access and if we still haven't figured this out I will get you some code to look at. Thanks.
