actually, it does not format correctly in neither firefox nor IE...  try changing the text-size (ctrl + mouse wheel).

Not sure about FF or IE, it looks fine from the default, but Safari on Mac is doing this weird thing where the grey background lines are repeating and not lined up.

What grey background lines? All I see is a yellow background, and a white box where all the text is...

Fixed the repeating grey lines, but now Safari the grey line at the bottom doesnt line up with the one just above it, yet in all other browsers its fine.

It looks absolutely fine in my Safari browser. You may want to take a look at it through browsershots.org. I submitted it for you, and you can take a look at it to see if it differs from how your browser is displaying: http://browsershots.org/website/1129167/

Which version of Safari are you using? I am using version 2.0.3 and your site looks fine on it.

Right now I have viewed on 1.2, 1.4, 2.0 on browsercam, and the client has 2.0 and they are seeing it.

I don't see the problem that you mentioned in those images. Maybe I am misunderstanding the problem?

Not trying to be a smart-a$$ but just so I make sure that I explain this properly.  There is are two thin grey lines (borders), the one on top goes from left to right or right to left and splits the header from the body.  There is a thin grey line that comes from the top grey line and should go down to the bottom, all in one piece.  Once the grey line gets down past the content section it breaks in SF and is about 1px off to the right, in all other browsers it does not break it is correct.  In the pictures, you might have to zoom as I was told, you can see that down near the bottom, it breaks off to the right.

Doh! Sorry about that, I just didn't notice it before.

Changing the width of #blah to 17.45em seems to do the trick in Safari, but it screws it up in Firefox (and I imagine in other browsers as well, but I didn't check). You could just use a hack for Safari, but I would recommend finding a better solution that works in all browsers.

I have to run right now, but I'll take a look at it when I come back in a couple hours.

I ended up using faux columns and bg image to get it to work.

good solution.  and you also fixed the problem when the text-size is increased by using "px" units instead of "em" for your left "column".
