Wiring Closet - Network structure

Can anyone refer me to a few online FAQ's that document how to properly wire a wiring closet?

I am trying to clean up our existing data center and could use some documentation of how a wiring closet should properly be set up.

Thanks,

The sources for this are TIA/EIA and BiCSi.

There are some standards, but you can't read them unless you pay for them.  You can search around and find some manufacturers which quote part of the standards.

You're looking for the following standards:
TIA/EIA-568-A
TIA/EIA-568-B
TIA/EIA-606
TIA/EIA-607

The Cabling Organization which does a lot with standards and best practices is http://www.bicsi.org

Check into Anixters site they publish a number of the standards in thier literature.

Prueconsulting had a really good idea - I have a hard copy of that book on my desk.
