I have a user that has a mapped drive to a network drive. An item was deleted from this mapped drive... And for the life of me i can not find it in either the servers recycle bin or the local computers...

When a file is deleted from a mapped drive, where does it go?

    Accepted Solution

Dig out last night's backup; files deleted from a network share are deleted immediately, sorry. The only other option is to google for "restore deleted files", but since there's usually a lot of file activity on a file server, chances are the remains of the file are already overwritten.
