Fowarding outside email address from exchange server 2003.

I am trying to figure out if I can forward an email address to an outside account from exchange.  I have a user in china that is having trouble authenticating to my exhange server in the states so I wanted to forward his email to another address until we figure it out.  any ideas?

Create a custom recipient/contact on your exchange box with the external address and add that custom recipient/contact in "Forward To:" address of users mailbox.

You need a mail enabled contact.

Use ADUC on the Exchange Server. Right click on users and choose New, Contact. Step through the wizard, entering the external email address when prompted. Make sure it is of type SMTP.
Next, open the properties of the user account that you want to forward.
Choose the Exchange General tab, then Delivery Options. Enable "Forward to:" and select the Mail Enabled contact in the usual way. Up to you whether you enable the option to store a copy of not. Apply/OK out.
Finally, go back in to the contact properties and hide the address lists. This stops anyone on the network from seeing the private address.
