I am trying to add a refresh button to my swf file. There is no way around it. The app is handling so much graphic in its slide show that it freezes every now and then. I have added a refresh button that when pressed will reload the movie

What i would like to do is reload the movie but take the end user back to the slide they were viewing b4 the crash. In order to do this i need to pass a variable assigned a value when the button is clicked and a function called. Is this possible to do ?

An easy quick fix to this would be to assign a global variable to equal the current slide in movie1.swf that they are on.

// on the root timeline, initiate the _global variable
_global.slideShowPosition = 1;

// when the user hits the next button on the slide show or goes to a particular frame:
_global.slideShowPosition = this._currentframe;

// put this into the _root timeline of movie1.swf
