Removing Task Reminders as Default in Outlook 2000

Hello. I use Outlook 2002 and have configured my application so that the defauly setting on new tasks does NOT have the reminder box set. I have a client who wants the same setting, but he is using Outlook 2000. Navigating to the same window in Outlook 2000 brings the window up, but the option does not exist there in that version.

My question is whether Outlook 2000 supports this configuration and, if it does, how to set it up. Can someone please enlighten me on this issue? I would guess this cannot be that difficult to figure out, but I do not have Outlook 2000 on my system to investigate.

Sorry but the above should be

Tool > Options > Other tab > Advanced Options button > Advanced Tasks button

I thought I would add a comment telling you where this functionality exists in Outlook 2002.

Tools > Options: Preferences Tab shows as default. Look for Task section and see the Tack Options button.

A window now appears with Overdue and Complete task colors PLUS three other settings below. One of those states: Set reminders on tasks with due dates.

Outlook 2000 does NOT have those three additional settings available.

The option is available in outlook2000 at Tool > Options > Other tab >Advanced tasks
