I want to write rtp client in Symbian. Is there any existing commom API available in symbian??? That can help me to write the application...
If you are thinking on the lines of some voice related application I think the SIP libraries can help. They are shipped with the Nokia Series 60 SDK.
The documentation is decent and there is even a sample application to get you started.
What is your experience in developing Symbian applications.
I want to develop RTP client in Symbian and want to measure RTP metrics. Is will be easier if I get free RTP plugin for symbiam else I have to write my own stack and to write own RTP stack in symbian is horrible. Please give reply as soon as possible.

is symbian OS v9 realesed or not, where I will get it
Yup Symbian OSv9 is released.
Depending on the your UI preferences you can get it from
UIQ SDK : http://developer.uiq.com/devtools_uiqsdk.html
Series 60 sdk : http://www.forum.nokia.com/main/0,6566,034-4,00.html select 3rd edition from the drop down list.
Hopes this helps.

Okay I have just pointed out links to Symbian SDK's and nothing very specific to RTP.
You would need to check individual SDK's if they have included the API for the same.

To be more specific download the UIQ sdk as it seems to include the RRtpSession set of classes that are needed for your task.
Nokia for some strange reasons has removed those RTP related classes!!
Hope this helps.
