Extract 30 seconds of audio

Hi - Anyone know of a software application that will automatically extract 30 seconds of audio from a wav or mp3 track? Would be great to set it to just pull 30 seconds from a large volume of tracks and rename using some sort of formula. I'm sure I there is something, but after extensive searching, I can't find anything!!

TIA

you will have to use an audio (mp3,wav..etc) splitter program, or audio cutter...!

Based on what you have said I summarize your needs as the following

A program capable of
-cropping an audio file to an arbitrary 30 second sequence
-conducting this operation on multiple files, preferrably in a single command
-rename the files based on one or more criterion

I believe your best solution would be a program called GoldWave.  It's batch processing capabilities make it perfect for what you need.  Select your volume of files in its batch processor, configure "AutoTrim" under effects for 30 seconds and set the renaming conventions based on ID3 tags.

Thanks for your comments so far.

Goldwave is way too complex, I'm sorry, I can't work it out!

Yaosoft - doesn't seem to batch as I need it to.

MP3 Editor doesn't seem to auto batch as I need it to.

Wavelab 6 seems very complex and I can't work out how to extract via batch

Total Recorder - doesn't seem to batch as I need it to.
