Hijack this log file / "clean" Pc with no network access

Hi,

I have below the hijack this file from an XP home pc that had Perfectnav and other infections.  After removal of these, it ran fine with the exception of internet and LAN browsing which it could not do.

I have tried a repaire install too and this has not fixed the issue.

If I boot to safe mode with networking I can browse both LAn and net.

Is this an infection issue or something else?

Did you remove any entries from your hijackthis log file? If so, what entries were they?
You can check those entries from the backup that hijackthis keeps.

Marcpanton,

I'd have to agree with rpggamergirl: - Winsock Fix is an excellent tool to restore your TCP/IP stack after removing spyware.

Typically, I'd recommend updating and running (in this order) CCleaner, Spybot S&D, Ad-Aware, then WinSock Fix.  You may have to download updates for Spybot & Ad-aware on a different PC and copy the definition files via pen drive or cd-r.

If you have multiple user profiles on your PC, it's advisable to (as an administrator) temporary disable windows system restore, and then enter and clear both of the following directories for each user profile before running any of the tools:

C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Temp
and
C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files

While it's not critical to empty these directories, it significantly speeds up the amount of time required for scanning & cleaning spyware.
