How we can compare the functionalites of UNIX Server from Mainframe server ...
In what scenarios the Unix servers are used and in what scenarios the mainframe servers are used?

Want to know the exact differences between two server systems from the Environmental prespective.

Please give me information on this and the links that  can provide me more information in this area..

This is not homework ...Sorry If my questiion framing made u feel in that way .

I just want to know  " How the environmental matrix" for the servers will be decided. I dont know where to start to know as I am using these two server for the first time .

This is a very, very complex issue.  I would suggest that you get a company that is familure with the platforms you are looking at.

When looking at mainframes, you have to choose which ones and what OS to run.  There are many, many factors to take into account and artical on the web are not going to help you.  You really need people that know all of the various platforms and what you are attempting to do.  

It was not really the way you asked the question, but the fact that you had so many "mainframe" related questions all at once.
