Well you are actually talking two different things - design, which in itself would probably take ten days to do because usually this is done with Photoshop.

And then you need to slice it and code it for the web - preferably using CSS, but sometimes some people use tables.  Or if you are going to be using a CMS, you need to incorporate that design into the CMS

And then you need a shopping cart - this is development.  And you will need to know PHP since this will be the server side language used to communicate with the mySQL database which will run the shopping cart.

You say that the design is done in photoshop? How do I do it in photoshop? and can I do it in fireworks instead? I don't know CSS yet. What is CMS? I am very new to web design and programming. All I know is frontpage. I thought I could do it all in frontpage. I didn't even know I could design in photoshop or fireworks.

Some people use Fireworks - yes.  Myself, I do not.  Most of my designers use Photoshop.

>>What is CMS?
Content Management System

Frontpage is a WYSIWYG editor.  It helps you create HTML code only.  It will allwo you to write your own HTML, ASP, PHP, etc code but of course, you hve to know these languages.

I would just google Fireworks tutorial and see what happens.  I have not used Fireworks - I use Frontpage and the two are totally different programs.  once is used to create images while the other is used to create text documents

I thought you were going to use Fireworks?  Not Photoshop?

Googling Fireworks turtorial proved fruitful, I found these websites:
http://www.adobe.com/support/fireworks/tutorial_index.html
http://www.joycejevans.com/tutorials/Fireworks/fwtutorials.htm
http://www.cbtcafe.com/fireworks/index.html
http://www.smartwebby.com/web_site_design/fireworks_tutorial.asp

And then of course EE has a TA: http://www.experts-exchange.com/Web/Graphics/Macromedia_Fireworks/ for specific questions, etc
