Hi, I need to uncompress my DVD clip to UNCOMPRESSED AVI (not dvix).
Can somebody suggest me a program?
I don't need a cheep application, I need something that will do a good job, and make me a real uncompressed avi file.

Thanks!

Hi Gagik,

to convert dvd video to an uncompressed avi there are two steps. Step one is to rip the VOB files from your DVD. Here's a link to a good (free) dvd rippper: http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Rippers/SetupDVDDecrypter_3.5.4.0.exe

Step 2 involves converting the VOB files to uncompressed avi. I prefer FlaskMPEG, it is a great open source program for converting mpeg streams into other formats. You can download it from here: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/flaskmpeg/flaskmpeg_078_39.zip?download

When you go to select your output codec in flaskmpeg you chould be able choose 'Uncompressed AVI'.

In-depth tutorials on using both programs can be found @ www.doom9.net or www.digital-digest.com

Hope this helps!
