See MSN Messenger buddies online without them seeing you

yahoo IM has a hide feature so you can see others, but they can't see you.

i dont think MSN Messenger has this feature... is there some other kind of tool that would allow me to see buddies on MSN but they can't see me?

In MSN, you can do a Block on the user.
Right click the user and then do a "Block".

You might try the status: Appear Offline

it can be set in: File>>My Status>>Appear Offline

perhaps this helps you out.

ok, i dont know why i didnt see this option before.

i actually use trillian, but it also has the invisible option.  duh.
