Treo 650 wont hotsync with Outlook calendar after changing over from exchange server

I've a treo that used to sync up fine with MS Outlook.  Since then, we've had to change over from an exchange server by saving the data to a pst file and using that as the new outlook info.  Since then, the hotsync will not sync data for the calendar and other outlook info.  I've uninstalled hotsync and set it back up again, keeping the same profile as originally since we couldnt change the user on the treo.  The outlook conduits keep setting back to 'do nothing' after the sync.  When watching the sync progress, it seems to go through all the parts OK.
