Hello,

I am using Delphi jpeg encoder but when I tested the produced jpeg with an analysis utility it always gives one of the following errors (although jpeg is viewed properly by the viewer programs)

Premature end of data.
Extraneous bytes.

Heve anyone encountered these errors? I tried other encoder units (like Intel's jpeg encoder dll, jpeg experts group encoder) but the result generally same.

Do anyone suggest another encoder that is error free? or other way around??

Thanks....

I have used the included Delphi  TJPEGImage many time with success, , I beleive that it does a good job producing jpegs, , but I know from doing some work with JFIF, JPEG files, that the File stucture and file specifications, allow for alot of variation, and differences in file stucture and encoding methods, , I will guess that your jpeg  analysis utility  is giving you information that is not relevant to the decoding of the jpeg file, even though it may be some sort of tecnical error
