We are using Outlook 2003 in our office. We have some 3rd party software that installs toolbars into Outlook.

We do not needed these toolbars and would like to disable (turn then off).

I have tried the following items to disable the toolbars:

- Right click on the toolbar area and uncheck the toolbars
- Right click on the toolbar area, Customize, and Delete the toolbars

In either configuration, as soon as I restart Outlook the toolbars are re-enabled.

Do similar procedure for each program toolbar.  Go to the Add/Remove Programs, select the program and select change.

Best wishes!

Thanks for the response.

Actually I am trying to remove the following toolbars:
-Nuance PDF Converter 3.0
-Barracuda Networks Outlook Plug-In
-Goto Meeting

For some reason, I seem to have been able to make the Gotomeeting stay off. The other two continue re-enabling despite me turning them off and/or deleting them.

I attempted the registry mod as indicated at slipstick under Outlook->Addins, but no effect.

I have the following under Addins:
-BtOfficeAddin.BtOfficeIntegration.1
-Microsoft.VbaAddinForOutlook.1

In Outllook, go to Tools > Options > Others > Advance Options > Addin Manager or COMM Addins and disable the addins for the toolbars.

Thanks. I'm still curious what causes outlook to not remember these settings, but this is one way to resolve the issue.
