Citrix and the bde

We have a application which works fine under windows, and terminal server, but when it comes to citrix we have an issue. Not sure if this should be lodged under applications or here.

This is on a user site, and I don't have an experience of citrix.

Our application uses the BDE.

We get an error

'error attempting to initialize the Borland database engine', when they first enter
they can close the application and re-enter and all is fine.

It is as if some thing isn't set up on the citrix side, or it can't find the directory.

Any inspiration would be appreciated.

My app uses bde and it works fine on citrix.  Make sure the temp directory for the app is set to %temp%

3) Borland Database Engine (BDE):The BDE is the connecting component between the database and the software.  It is installed with the workstation setup (wssetup.exe).  The BDE installs locally (on the Citrix server) and registers itself in the registry.  It is HIGHLY recommended that, during installation, the user log into the server as Administrator with full rights to the whole system.  If the user is logged in as someone with limited system access, the BDE may not load properly.
