Entourage cannot send xls files

Hi everyone,
A client of mine cannot send xls files from its Entourage software.

When trying to send emails with xls attachments, these very emails are stuck into his outbox.

He uses the latest mac osX fully updated.

Can you send other files?  Like doc or ppt?  What is the file size of the xls?  Have you try compressing the xls and send it out?

Yes,
other files can be sent. However, myclient is having some troubles with large emails.

Some smtp servers reject big files.  It is the configuration of the smtp server and not the email client.  The solution normally is to create your own smtp server.  From your posting I assume that your client has OS X 10.4 with the latest updates.  If you are familiar with console, command line.  The reference is here to enable postfix (mail server) on OS X 10.4:
