dxva_sig.txt appears on desktop in Notepad

dxva_sig.txt

The above appears within notepad on my desktop. I think that it is something to do with MP10. Does any one know how to resolve this problem?

Many thanks

You mean this is a text file you do not need?

Can you not just click on it and press delete?

The file isn't needed. I can delete it but it reappears after using Media Player.

It seems this is a common problem...

Hopefully the following threads may be of use to you:

http://www.techspot.com/vb/all/windows/t-16670-dxva_sig-appearing-on-my-desktop.html

It appears that this problem can either be codec related or video card driver related.

I would suggest you first try reinstalling WMP 10 to see if it codec related:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/mp10/default.aspx

If that doesn't help we'll look towards a driver solution.
