http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/hpcpqdt/us/download/20521.html     Software and Drivers - download Intel Chipset Support for Windows, 5.1.0.1008 A

Download the drivers from there

P.S. Win98 first edition is not supported. Make sure you have Win98 Second Edition

Try this:
1- Go to http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html
2- Search there for: HP DX2000, and hit the >> arrow beside the search field
3- Click the "Microtower " or "Slim tower" link
4- Click the ">>Active Chat..support experts are available to assist you" link, wait 'til you're connected with a tech person, and tell them of your problem.

(Step 4 also has Troubleshooting guides etc., but try the HP tech support)

(Note -Step 2 also has "Start Detection" button to auto-detect your computer, instead of you typing its name in)

If you are in USA you can also call hp at 1-800-633-3600:
