How to populate a dropdownlist with multiple table columns.

I've got a dropdownlist that I populate as follows:

DropDownList1.DataValueField = "id";

DropDownList1.DataTextField = "lname";

But would rather do this; is this possible?

DropDownList1.DataTextField = "lname" + ", " + "fname";
