Hi,

If you want to password protect the webpage then you can easily protect from the fooloowig steps.
First create a folder and insert the page which you want to password protect.

1. Create a user which you want to use in authentication
Mycomputer>right click > manage>user and computer > add new user

2. Go to IIS > website> Select your website > Select folder or directory in which your page stored> right click > properties >directory security tab> Edit>
-uncheck or disable enable anonymous access
-check mark enable Basic authentication

3.go to web site folder Right click on folder > permission > add the user and set permission as read, list folder contecnt,Read or which you want.
