modify a jpg

I want to remove text on a jpg and add new text using fireworks. How do i go about doing this?

You cannot simply delete the text with a jpg file as it has the different layers flattened in the image.  

You can try to clone out the text using the different tools in fireworks...

Is it an option to get the origional png and then you could just delete the layer that has the text on it and type in your new text?

I was unable to get the original. I was able to use cloning to suit my purpose.
