Greetings, Stardotstar !

This problem is often cause by Norton antivirus (or any antivirus) checking of outgoing mail.  Disable antivirus checking of outgoing emails. Reboot the computer and test.

Best wishes!

Startdotstar,

Maybe the problem is on the recipient's end.  What type of extension on attachment? Some Outlook email client rejects certain type of attachments.

Does the problem occur only with the one recipient, or any recipient?

What email client does the recipient use?  If Gmail, Gmail rejects many attachments.

and it is anyone she sends an email with an attachment.  If she does not include the attchemnet, all is fine.

I still think that the problem is due to the antivirus.  Temporarily disable the antivirus program, not just email checking.  Now test.

Turns out she called Sony and they had her rebuild her email accounts.  I know that tuning off NAV would have done the same thing.

Thanks.
