Auto Switching SMTP settings
I have a user with a POP3 mail account. It is setup in his Outlook XP and it works fine when he is at work on the network. However when he leaves the office he connects with a 3G connection from where ever he is. The problem is, if he is in the office his SMTP settings are set to the office internet service provider. When he disconnects from the office and connects to 3G, he has to change to the SMTP server of the 3G provider.
This is a huge hassle every time changing this every time, as it happens on a daily basis because he takes his laptop home with him everyday.
I have tried to basically put 2 accounts in his outlook, one account with the one smtp server and the other with the other. The problem there is he gets a error from the one he is not connected to and this freaks him out (as he is not the most knowledgeable user when it comes to technology).
Is there a way I can put both SMTP server address in outlook and outlook will use the one that it can connect to?
Thanks
Robert
