How I visualize the points of a postgis table??

Finally I have a project which send gps points to a postgis table in real time. Now I want at the same time points are stores in the postgis table to make them visible on a map.
Any Ideas of what can be useful??It has to be open source.

Right now I work on mapguide. I have a problem with connecting a postgis table with mapguide. Do you know any tool or documentation that would help me?
