I've exported a .fla file from my trial version of Flash 8 professional (Mac OS X) into a .swf.

http://www.aidansamuel.com/clearbrook/

It looks and works fine on virtually all machines I've tested it on, but on a couple (that unfortunately belong to the client!) the fonts change to times new roman, and some of the graphics dissapear.

Why is this happening and how do I fix it?

Many thanks.

font changes to times new roman because you have been using dynamic fonts and haven't embeded the fonts..
you must have to embed fonts, and make sure, device fonts have not been choosed in fonts properties dialog box.

Also try to confirm that Client have Flash 8 player...
you can put a check on you webpage for Flash 8 deduction and direct the user to download the latest plugin if he/she does not have latest one

At present, best deduction js script is following one..
http://blog.deconcept.com/swfobject/

and it is really easy to use.

I confirm that Graphic disappears becuase you client must not have the latest Flash player version,

I noticed that You have used Blur effect on image, and this graphic will not be visible if end user will not have Flash player 8

use the above version deduction code..
