I had read the answers about attachments winmail.dat but i have not resolve the problem.
I have Outlook 2003 and i setup outgoing mails in plain text but the problem persist!

I have tried to read these mail with 2 different ways:
1) If i read with openwebmail all emails that were with attachments (.doc, .pdf, .zip etc) arrives with winmail.dat
2) If I read with OE6 there is no attachments

Now, if i have already setup that email must going out in Plain Text.....what I can do?

Thanks
Rick

Greetings, Rick !

In openwebmail, can you read the email and attachment?  If you can, don't worry about winmail.dat attachment.  It is formatting for Outlook email clients.

Best wishes!

Sending out email in Plain Text with attachment should take care of formatting issue, so that winmail.dat does not occur.  Verify that Plain Text is being used.

Perform a repair on Outlook. Go to Help > Detect and Repair.
