printing file names to file

I can't remember the command to create a text file of a directory list - please could someone enlighten me

1 Solution
Quick and dirty dos command:

or try this:

The Dos Tree command.

Tree \ (directory) /f >treelist.txt
For example I have Dos folder with a sub-folder. This command lists
the folder and the sub-folder and all the files in both into the
file Treelist.txt. You can then edit/view/print the file.
Tree \dos /f >treelist.txt

To display the results only to the screen try this:
Tree \dos /f |more

The | pipe symbol is the shifted \ key. More is used instead of /p
to pause each screen full so you can view it.

To display only the directory tree with no files omit the /f.

From a Dos prompt enter  Tree /?  for more info.

else: use freeware like

PrintFolder 1.1a

MaxLister 2.31
