Hello, Experts.

I got a very annoying problem with the PDF ebooks that I purchased at Amazon.com. The problem is that I bought them and downloaded to a table PC. I bought ~30 books at once. Now I found out that they can only be viewed on this specific PC and nowhere else. I can't read them on my Laptop. I can't print, can't copy... I just have to sit at this PC scanning through 5000 pages. I can't even copy the best ideas for my future reference.

How can remove all these restrictions from these eBooks. I really need to be able to view them on my laptop as I have to travel a lot.

Thank you all in advance.

Try activating the reader on your laptop:

https://aractivate.adobe.com/eden/edenui.asp

I think you can then put a copy on your laptop and use them as normal.

Note that you need to use the same passport account that you used on your desktop!

Ehm... Do I have any limits with the 7th version of Acrobat? Because with Acrobat 6 after changing PC's and a few windows reinstallations I exceeded number of activations and had to trash the books.

Though I didnt see anything specific about version 7, Reader 6.0.1 and above limited activations to 6 machines:

I would imagine the number of reactivations stays the same in 7

Just as a followup - has this helped? I don't think I can start talking about removing the DRM restrictions without breaching EE T&C's, not to mention I'd be breaking the law (The UK has enacted it's own version of the DMCA)

If you've activated too many times maybe you can speak with Adobe Support and tell them due to reinstalls you need your activation count reset. It might work :-)
