Hello, I am trying to create a service which will enable users to login and post dates and time they need to be reminded. Then our service will send 1) A text message on cell (SMS?), and/or an email to the user. I was wanting the user to specify what method of reminder they would like. Is there such a solution out there that has the code viewable? (3rd Party solution?). If not, anyone have any ideas how to accomplish this? Thanks alot.

I havent seen any free SMS gateway, if you want to shop for some or even try some free you can just google them

http://www.google.ca/search?hs=Sd&hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&q=free+sms+components+asp.net&btnG=Search&meta=

I personally would choose to email the notices instead of using SMS since its free and you can use asp.net System.Net.Mail class easily since all mobile providers use an adentifier after the cell number to send the email

for example if my cell was 111-222-2222 then my email with my provider would be 1112222222@fido.ca since I have a fido phone.

Good luck
