I can not unlock the sever group

I can not unlock the sever group in NAV corporate edition v10. Everything was fine on Friday but its not today (Monday). Nothings changed and everything was working fine for months. I keep getting the error “can’t communicate with server group”? I’ve tried restarting services, editing “loginCaCertIssueSerialNum to 1”, everything but restarting the server which I Can’t do for some time yet…any ideas please?

You may need to clear the Server Group Cache.

To work around this, you must click on Tools in the main menu, then click Discovery Service. In the dialog box choose "Clear Server Group Cache". You must then run the discovery service to re-identify servers ( there is no indication anything happens such as a discovery complete message). Close the Discovery Service box and you should now be able to unlock the server group with the username and password entered during the install. You can now assign a primary server to the server group and continue with configuration after choosing the Symantec Antivirus view.


this is a resolution from my work when we have had an issue like this.
