I am resident of Pakistan using Warid Telecom. I have just purchased Motorola SLVR L7 and subscribed for GPRS. I have installed Opera Mini2 in my set. But Opera Mini is not connected to GPRS. Message shown is "You are not on network. Error 3.0.10:80/". (May be error number is wrong). Please advice me is there any special settings for this.

Do you have it connecting through a GPRS gateway? Go to Options/Settings and then bring up "General" (on my Nokia 6680, it's arrow-right). The Default Connection setting should be a GPRS connection.

Check whether there are separate settings for internet. Similar to wap. Your network provider would be able to send you the settings on request. Opera mini is a html browser and uses port 80. Your wap connection may be using another port. Otherwise the phones web page may have the option to send the settings to your phone.

I object on the basis that the answer to the question is given above by me.

As is reiterated here http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=121400 , the Opera Mini program is obviously being used with the phones WAP settings. The program requires the INternet settings to work correctly and most mobile operators provide both settings to their customers.

Usually it's sent OTA as an SMS and needs to be saved on the phone.

Opera Mini also has a system to check if the connectivity is there in help. open Opera Mini > Menu >tools > help > Introduction - 'Push the joystick or center navigation key to test your network connection now'

I disagree - you have a good guess but it can be anything else...

Unfortunately it is not a guess.

I use a Nokia 6630 Installed with Opera Mini. The phone has Dialog Internet settings, Dialog WAP settings on it (Dialog GSM being the local operator).

When Opera Mini is opened and when I try to connect using the 'Dialog Internet settings' all is ok.

If I try to connect through 'Dialog WAP' I get a message as follows.
"There was a problem connecting. There might be a problem with your network setup. Please go to Tools > Help > Introduction and perform the connection test. (error: 3.0.10:80/)

But I do agree that there can be other factors which may be involved. My answer is based on the error code. However the users phone may have an inbuilt browser which works fine with WAP settings.

Any way I am hoping that nabilpk would confirm or provide feedback on how the issue was resolved. Otherwise I will accept the Moderators decision.

thanks,

Upul
