Special Characters in Windows Media Player Playlists

I have a few songs that use special ascii characters, such as "Chciałbym umrzeć z miłości".  I can play these songs by double clicking them, but when I add them to a playlist, the playlist will skip over them.  Is there any way to fix this?

You can add these files to your playlist using Windows Media Player 11
I tried this and it worked.
