Export from crystal 8.5 to PDF.   Cannot open PDF file after exporting.

When I export Crystal Report 8.5 File to PDF file through VB6 export is successful but cannot open the PDF file.
Error: File does not begin with '%PDF-'.

PDF Version is 5.0

what program do you use for opening PDF?  Adobe Reader?  have you considered upgrading it?
