Hi, I am calling external text through a txt file.  On this txt file I would like to have some words/phrases as links to internet sites........the code that is calling the txt file looks this way:

-----------------

System.useCodepage = true;
fieldtext.html = true;
myLoadVar = new LoadVars();
myLoadVar.load("featured.txt");
myLoadVar.onLoad = function(success) {
      if (success == true) {
            fieldtext.htmlText = myLoadVar.myText;
      }
};

-------------------------------

The txt file *featured.txt* code looks this way:

-------------------------

mytext=<html><font color="#FFFFFF">content goes here
</font></html>

----------------------

Or if anyone knows a better way to call external txt files that could have hyperlinks inside the txt file and maybe also have a scroll option as well?

Thanks

Hi,

you can simply use <a href => tag for link..

for example:
mytext=<html><font color="#FFFFFF">content goes here </font>this is a <a href='http://www.google.com'>link</a></html>

secondly,
to have a scrollbar on textField, just drag a drop a UIScrollbar component on exact middle of textField.

scrollBar will automatically get snapped to the textField
