I have a western digial 40 gb hdd divided in 3 partitions. this hard disk has developed bad sectors. I have copied the data on 2 of the partitions to a new hd. However when i access one of the 3 partitions the message &quot;&nbsp;error performing image operation&quot; is displayed ? what does this error mean and how can i access this partion again ? also if I format this hdd will the bad sectors go away and make the hdd usable again ? is there any way i can make sure no further bad sectors develop on this hard disk ?
