Outlook 2003 How to Convert .OST to .PST
Hello All,
I need to convert about 16 OST files to PST. So far I have tried the following troubleshooting steps and since they failed am now looking to buy Recovery for exchange http://www.officerecovery.com but would like to avvoid this. Does anyone have any ideas?
1. Backup ost file(s)
2. Rename outlook.ost to outlook.pst
3. Use scanpst.exe from Outlook 2002 (in C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\Mapi\1033) to repair outlook.pst
(You can always copy scanpst.exe from an alternative installation, include MAPI32.DLL and GAPI32.DLL)
4. Rename outlook.pst back to outlook.ost
5. Run OST2PST which will then convert the file successfully to outlook.pst
6. Outlook can then open the outlook.pst file

Hi,
is there any freeware tool available to convert outlook ,ost file to .pst file ?
When I browse the internet I only find quite expensive programs.
In my case, I synched my new business Laptop with my mobile and deleted all contacts due to wrong synch direction :-> Empty Outlook address book copied to Mobile address book. Luckily I have found an old .ost file from my old Laptop (different exchange server profile).
Is there any freeware tool available to convert ost file to pst ?

Snoopy76, there is no free utility to convert OST to PST for Outlook 2003 format PST. If you want to ask more question, open your own question.
I would like to suggest you to use another OST to PST Email Converter tool to convert OST to PST format. The great thing about software is that Outlook installation is not required in order to access corrupt OST file and conversion.
