when trying to update office 2003 I get this message.

Additionally, it says after I click OK, "the path Microsoft Pro edition 2003 cannot be found. Verify that you have access or try to find the installation pkg PRO11.MSI in a folder from which you can install the product.

It halts during the install. It's for Outlook 2003 email filter, Power Point security update, and security update for Word 2003. That's as far as the progress meter goes and then halts. with the same message that it's can't find Office Pro etc


I pu the office cd int he computer and browsed to the file and clicked OK and it came back and said " the file g\:PRO11.MSI is not a valid installation file etc.

Help please?

Two options:

1) Get the CORRECT Office installation CD.  I.e. the exact one that was originally used to install this instance of Office.  If it's not the same one, the update installation will fail.

2) Get the FULL UPDATER from MS download site for your version of Office.  Unlike the one you have, the full updater doesn't need to copy any files from the Office CD.  Of course this update file is much larger.

It's 101MB so be prepared to wait a while...
